Dell EMC PowerEdge Rack Servers
I like the Dell EMC PowerEdge management, and we have a fabulous management interface. They are perfect, and we can assume the server. It’s very reliable and simple to manage.
It is really stable. We didn’t hold a single downtime of failure. Nor have we always experienced any downtime in electrical components or the hardware. In this way, the server is secure.
The most important features are remote management and iDRAC.
The pricing of the resolution is fair.
Virtualization and distributed power management are great and valuable features.
This solution has completely fulfilled our requirements well.
The reconstructive adaptability with VMware ESXi is the most helpful.
The solution delivers what it promises. You glance at the specs, and it delivers them.
Cons
They should develop a centralized management interface. For example, when you extend something, VMware or RedHat, it should be more comfortable to deploy many servers. Now you should do one at a time.
I would like to see sufficient IOPS, i.e. the disc speed. That is the main condition for scaling up the number of users.”The design, in terms of power performance, can be improved.
It would be helpful if the rack servers had an HCI solution as a selection.”It would be more comfortable if the server’s remote connection could be made through the USB port. We should be capable of connecting to a laptop or a management workstation within a USB port from the server.
There are several aspects, features, and functionality on the motherboard that requires improvement.
The only thing that could be developed is documentation. During the installation, it would be suitable to have some information about how is it going.
Until they acquire new technology and density, it would be nice to see four nodes in a one-year package rather of a three-year package.
HPE ProLiant DL Servers
There is a many of additional storage. I am using only half of what I want.
The product is scalable and permanent.
The feature that I find is the most valuable is that all alerts are integrated with HPE InfoSight. Any issue related to an HPE server can be solved remotely at L1, L2 level.
The most important feature is stability.
This product is feature-rich and is simple to install.
Very practical and comfortable to maintain.
The robustness of the design of the servers is the most important. HP servers are simple to use and user-friendly. The server is not difficult, and it is simple to use ILO systems.
The cost of the product is fair and not too costly.
Cons
If everybody could put a SAN storage or resend it in the same product, it would be useful and powerful.
Not all of the hardware is totally up-to-date.
They can improve the controller cache. Currently, it has a controller cache of upto 4 GB. The RAID controller card appears with a maximum of four GB cache in HPE servers, whereas it appears with a maximum of 8 GB cache in Dell servers. They can also enhance the port size. HP presents a 25 GB port on the server, whereas Dell and Cisco present a 100 GB port.
The cost of this solution should be lowered to give it more competitive.
Sometimes, there are connectivity problems, and the server is not capable of connecting to our SAN.
Configurations could be analyzed.
In DL 500 systems, airflow is not good enough, and some components get overheated. IBM systems have better airflow and scalability. We have a data centre that has restricted physical space. Therefore, we want to maximize the processing or compute methods that we use. There are only 4 processors in HP servers, such as DL 500, whereas IBM servers, such as SR 916, have 8 processors. We don’t get any help from HP because of our geographical location. We resolve all problems ourselves by studying on the internet. It would be great to get HP support.
The technical support is quite good. However, they could be a bit quicker and more responsive.”
